In light of the recent school closures throughout Canada, Windermere Music Academy will be closed from March 16th to March 22nd, with all classes cancelled.

From March 23rd, classes will be delivered remotely online. We will be reaching out to coordinate individual lessons in the coming week via Google Hangouts. Though there will not be a lesson this week, we will be inviting students to do a technical test run during their regular lesson time slots. For how to access online classes, please refer to our email sent to you on March 16th, 2020.

To accommodate for technical difficulties or network delays, we may have 10-minute time adjustments for online classes.

With dance classes cancelled, our dance instructors will be providing video resources and exercises for students to practice at home.

We are continuing to monitor the situation very closely and will respect and follow all guidelines set out by provincial and local health organizations. We will need your cooperation to help us test our online teaching system this week. The health of our students and their families is of the utmost importance.

At this point, the Windermere Music Academy office will remain open. For all of our health and safety, we will have a reduced number of staff in the office. Therefore you may experience a delayed response to a phone call or email. Please be patient as we do our best to serve you.

Following Alberta Health Service reports, the COVID-19 situation is evolving rapidly with increasing global spread, so it is important that we change to online teaching to reduce risks from community spread. Please look out for further email updates, including when we will be able to resume in-person teaching.

We thank everyone for your cooperation in this temporary arrangement to keep each other safe.
